WKlatte,

In the late 1950s I lived near the Devon ~AND~ It's likely my posting that you're referring to. It was 1958 and as we entered the Devon it was empty other than my friend and I and 'one other couple'. As we sidled to seats a row in front of the other couple ...I looked at them as the screen lighted up enough to see their faces and I was so surprised to see Errol Flynn and his 17 year old girlfriend Beverly Aadland! They were in the news every day and easy to recognize. It was a movie he was starring in late in his career, "Too Much Too Soon" and Beverly, I think, lived on Anthony Ave. which explains why they were in the Devon. And when the movie was over we all walked out onto Tremont Ave. and I ran right up to him so excited saying "Errol Flynn"! He looked at me with fear, grabbed Beverly and ran up to the Concourse, us following them....He flagged a cab, and they were gone.
