Mytery Photo rules 2.0

Wow I really got my butt kicked by virtually everyone who responded to my original post about the MP rules on no web sleuthing. I didn't think I'd be hitting such a raw nerve in people. I know we all don't have to agree. I don't think there is a right or wrong view on this. I was just trying to be a voice for the younger generation. Who would've thought a 63 year old boy like me would still get spanking.

Don't worry, Edwin. All is forgiven. It's all good, as the kids say these days. At 82 my wife still "spanks" me.

I guess I am coming to this rather late. But I agree with you. I am not so young, but I was rather sheltered I guess. I don't have the knowledge of areas in the Bronx other than where I grew up. Therefore, quite often the quiz is a total blank for me. If there was a separate place on the site for web sleuthing, and therefore learning more about the borough we all love, I don't see anything wrong with it. It would not interfere with the quiz. It would just be another educational point. Perhaps not a quiz or with a totally different format than the Mystery Photo Quiz.

The mystery pictures are going to get so narrowly focused that even someone who might have lived in that building may have never noticed the detail. How artificial intelligence would help is some thing I could not imagine.

Amaranita, you totally get my point. Bless your heart for understanding my eccentrics.

I too, agree with you. I knew (know?) the west Bronx pretty well and a bit when my parents moved to upper Grand and finally Barker Ave......but Parkchester and Riverdale and lots of places in the east Bronx are a mystery to me.....of course, excluding the zoo, botanical gardens and City Island.
