Kevin, My Dads parents came from Ireland. County Kilkenny I believe. But my dad was born and raised in Long Island City Queens. My Mom was part Italian. Grandpa came from Salerno, Italy around 1907 at the age of 9 or 10. (my cousin's computer savvy son-in-law did some research). My maternal grandma came from Ontario, Canada. She married grandpa a week after she turned 18 in 1922.The "newlyweds" originally lived on Brook Ave and E.138th St. They had two kids. (My future mom and uncle). They moved to 1996 Gleason Ave around 1940 before that section of E.177th St. was dug up to make way for the Cross Bronx Expressway. Before that time, I have no idea.
